- Difficulty starting to urinate

AGE: Over the age of 50 in white men and over the age of 40 in colored men
RACE: Colored men have higher risk than other races
FAMILY HISTORY: Men with family members ( i.e. father, brothers and sons) who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer are themselves at higher risk (2 to 3 times).
